Home by 3:15 today - was actually home at 2:20, but had to go out again.
I was doing my Work Experience visits to some of our Y10, who are on placements this week and next. One of them was a 5 minute walk from my house, which was nice, even if it took me two tries at walking into beauty salons trying to find it. Shows how well I know my local area! The fact that there are 6 of the things within 5 minutes walk of my house is an amazement to me.
I got given some really nice kids to go visit, so it was basically a case for each one of asking the supervisor:
'How are they doing?'
>Some response along the lines of 'Great', 'Fab', ' Couldn't be better'
'That's nice to hear. Thank you for having them.'
And then asking the pupil:
'Have you had a good week'
> 'Yep', 'Loved it', 'Want to do it in the future, and this was good'
'Right. Have a nice week next week.'
But stretching that out over 15 minutes...
I'm going out later , on a staff 'Celebrate Y11 leaving' night out. Should be fun, because there will be me, and about 10 female teachers.
